Meet Our Staff

Tessa Zevallos
Executive Director
Tessa Zevallos joined the Foundation as Executive Director in 2026 bringing more than fifteen years of of nonprofit leadership and development experience. Tessa is deeply motivated by the Foundation’s mission to engage and empower D95 learners and is a proud parent to two future District 95 graduates (LZHS Classes of 2030 and 2033).
Prior to joining the Foundation, Tessa led development teams for regional and national nonprofits focused on youth engagement and student success. She brings a unique blend of fundraising expertise, corporate partnership experience, communications leadership, and deep community involvement.
Since moving to Kildeer with her husband, Manuel, and their two children, Tessa has been an active District 95 volunteer, serving as a PTO President, organizing school musicals and talent shows and numerous student events.
Tessa is inspired by District 95’s Portrait of a Graduate and is committed to working with the Foundation to support learners who are growth-oriented, future-ready, effective communicators, empowered advocates, and global citizens. Tessa served in the Peace Corps in Peru and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a masters degree from Illinois State University.
Meet Our Board of Trustees

PRESIDENT
Joseph Janicki
Brightway Insurance | The J&A Group
Professional Experience: Joseph brings 25+ years of sales and management experience to the board and is the Agency Owner of Brightway Insurance, The Janicki Agency. A local entrepreneur, Joe operates physical office locations in Lake Zurich and Winter Park, Florida, and is licensed across eight states. His customer-first independent agency model earned his business the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce New Business of the Year award (2022) along with over 250 five-star Google reviews in just five years. Prior to launching his agency, Joe spent years working as a management consultant specializing in operational efficiency, process improvement, and strategic cost reduction.
Community Service: Joe is a dedicated community leader with a deep history of service in Lake Zurich. Joe has proudly served as a Foundation Trustee since 2022 and stepped into the Foundation President role in 2026. He previously served on the Lions Club of Lake Zurich Board, served as President of the Rotary Club of Lake Zurich (2023–2024), and is a prior board member for the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce.
Personal: Originally from Palatine, Joe now resides in Lake Zurich, where he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. Married to his wife Erica, he has three children: son Caden, who attends elementary school in Lake Zurich; daughter Mikala, a Clinical Exercise Physiologist at Rush University Medical Center; and daughter Juliana, who works as a nurse in Kansas City. Joe is also a proud grandfather to two adorable granddaughters, Hazel and Grace, who also live in Kansas City.

VICE PRESIDENT OF FUND DEVELOPMENT
Ashley Scott
IMC Trading
Professional Experience:
Ashley has over 15 years of experience as an HR and recruiting professional in the financial services sector. She leads recruiting and marketing teams focused on attracting STEM students for early-career roles in quantitative trading and software engineering for one of the world’s leading trading firms. Ashley holds certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a Brain-Based Coach through the NeuroLeadership Institute. She earned her B.A. in International Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Community Service:
Ashley has been involved with the Associate Board of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, where she previously led the sponsorship committee for the board’s annual Art in Motion fundraiser. A dedicated runner and six-time Chicago Marathon finisher, she has also raised funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Personal:
Ashley and her husband, Mark, are proud alumni of District 95. They have two children who will be attending schools in the district. She finds balance amidst life’s chaos through yoga, reading, and running.

VICE PRESIDENT OF GRANTS AND INITIATIVES
Andy Spetter
Professional Experience: Andy is an entrepreneur and former small business owner who spent more than a decade helping students achieve their academic goals as the owner of The Tutoring Center in Long Grove. Prior to purchasing and operating the tutoring center, Andy built a career in engineering and consulting, helping organizations solve complex technical and business challenges. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and is currently taking time to explore new opportunities while focusing on family, travel, and community involvement.
Community Services: In addition to the District 95 Educational Foundation, Andy has been an active member of the May Whitney Elementary School Parent Advisory Committee and previously served on the Board of Directors for The Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove.
Personal: Andy and his wife, Julie, moved to District 95 in 2003. They have two daughters who graduated from Lake Zurich High School. In his free time, Andy enjoys traveling with his family, planning their next adventure, following Purdue athletics, cheering on the Chicago Cubs along with the Indianpolis Colts and exploring new technology and lifelong learning opportunities.

VICE PRESIDENT OF COMMUNICATIONS
Olga Golumbovski
Professional Experience: Olga is a strategic communications leader with 25 years of experience advancing corporate, culture, and commercial communications within the highly regulated healthcare and financial industries. She holds a bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona.
Community Service: Olga is dedicated to supporting the community. Professionally, she managed the corporate social responsibility program at Astellas Pharma, building relationships with community organizations and mobilizing employees to commit 10,000 volunteer hours annually. Locally, she served on the board of Caring Women's Connection, an organization raising funds to support women and children in need in Lake County, Illinois and is a member of the Lions Club of Lake Zurich.
Personal: Olga lives in Hawthorn Woods with her husband, Mario, and their two sons who attend District 95 schools. As a family, they enjoy traveling, boating and volunteerism.

TREASURER
Azure Smith
Professional Experience: Azure graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Master of Social Work degree. Throughout her professional career, she has worked as a licensed counselor, a student finance advisor, business manager, executive assistant, project coordinator, and hospital administrator. Presently, Azure focuses her time and talents on volunteerism and community building.
Community Service: Azure enjoys staying involved at her children’s school where she has planned and executed numerous school functions and fundraisers. She is co-chair of the school's yearbook committee, and has served as both Vice President and Treasurer of her PTO.
Personal: Azure and her husband live in Lake Zurich and have two children attending school in District 95. Her family enjoys a busy, active lifestyle full of music, dance, water sports, art, and travel.

SECRETARY
Willy Borkowski
Professional Experience: Willy Borkowski is a business owner and golf professional based in the greater Chicago area, where he leads golf instruction and retail services through his company, Willy B Golf Instruction & Sales. He also brings experience from his work with X-Golf Kildeer, where he supports golfers of all skill levels in developing their technique and passion for the game.
Community Service: As a member of the District 95 Educational Foundation Board, Willy is passionate about supporting educational opportunities that enrich students’ experiences and strengthen the local community. He brings an entrepreneurial mindset and a collaborative spirit to advancing the Foundation’s mission including organizing the annual Golf Event fundraiser.
Personal: With a strong commitment to community engagement, Willy is dedicated to helping individuals build confidence, discipline, and lifelong skills through sports. His approach emphasizes personalized coaching, relationship-building, and creating inclusive environments for learners of all ages. He lives in Kildeer with his wife, Stacy, and two sons.

TRUSTEE
Vas Russis
Buckley Fine Law, LLC
Professional Experience: Vas received his B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois, Urbana–Champaign. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1990. After graduation, he worked for Arthur Andersen & Co. in Chicago. Vas received his Juris Doctorate from the Chicago – Kent College of Law in 1995. He is currently a partner with Buckley Fine Law, LLC in Barrington.
Community Service: Vas is an active member of the Lake Zurich Chamber of Commerce. He also was an active member of Future 95, a group which advocated for the successful referendum to fund District 95 facility improvements. Vas has also been involved as a coach in the Lake Zurich Baseball and Softball Association. Vas is a volunteer in the Incubator Program at Lake Zurich High School.
Personal: Vas and his wife, Michelle, reside in Hawthorn Woods with their two children, both of whom are in college. He enjoys traveling with his family and golf and is passionate about University of Illinois athletics and the Chicago Cubs.

TRUSTEE
Deacon John Sfire
The Fidelity Group
Professional Experience: Deacon John is Chairman/CEO of The Fidelity Group located in Lake Zurich since its inception 20 years ago. Presently, the Fidelity Group owns/manages approximately 850,000 square feet of retail/office space in Lake Zurich.
Community Service: Deacon John brings extensive community service experience to the School District 95 Foundation, having served for many years on the College of Lake County Education Foundation. Deacon John is one of the founders of the Foglia YMCA, and supports the Hawthorn Woods Womens’ Club, SNAP, and the Bear Boosters Club. He is also the Executive Director of Faith Food Panty, President of Northern Illinois Food Bank, and Executive Director of The Samuel R. Sfire Foundation which, among other things, distributes over $40,000 annually in financial assistance to qualified student applicants.
Personal: The Sfire family includes two School District 95 graduates, Jason Alan Sfire and Niki Sfire Williams.

TRUSTEE
Dr. Feliks Kravets
Cyber Security Easy
Professional Experience: Dr. Feliks Kravets is the founder of CyberSecurityEasy.com LLC and a member of the Advisory Council for the Cybersecurity Pathway at City Colleges of Chicago. He has spent the last several years serving as a full- and part-time professor at universities and colleges across the Greater Chicago area, including Benedictine University, University of the Potomac, College of Lake County, Northwestern College, Kendall College, The Art Institute of Schaumburg, among others.
Community Service: Dr. Kravets is a former data analyst at Ameritech (now AT&T) and has managed teams and educational programs, worked in hospitality, and operated startup projects delivering innovative technological solutions. He has served on advisory boards for both for-profit and nonprofit organizations and is the author of books for children, seniors, and students with limited English proficiency, focusing on cyber safety and digital literacy. His company, CyberSecurityEasy.com LLC, is on a mission to make cyber safety concepts easy to understand for everyone.

DISTRICT 95 SUPERINTENDENT & TRUSTEE (non-voting)
Kelley Gallt
Professional Experience: Kelley Gallt joined CUSD 95 as Superintendent in June of 2019, after serving for six years at the district level providing leadership in the area of curriculum, instruction, and assessment. She most recently served the St. Charles learning community as its Chief Academic Officer, and prior to that was an Assistant Superintendent of Learning for Hinsdale 181. Kelley has also served the Yorkville School District as a Director of Learning and Teaching and the Plainfield School District as a building principal. Prior to this she taught at the elementary level.
Kelley received her Doctorate in Educational Administration from Aurora University and holds a Master’s degree in educational administration from Governor’s State University. She received her Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University.
Community Service: Kelley has been a Rotarian and a member of the YMCA Board.
Personal: Kelley is married to Eric and has four children, Brittney, Colton, Parker, and Wyatt. She currently resides in Deer Park. She spends her free time reading professionally, running, and traveling to visit her children.

IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT
Indra Josephs
First Vice President, Aligned Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley
Professional Experience: Indra has been in the financial industry working with families for over 20 years. She provides clients with holistic wealth management solutions that encompass virtually every aspect of their financial lives. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Indra focuses on helping clients achieve their vision of financial success and leave a meaningful legacy. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Indra served as a Vice President at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, helping high net-worth investors grow and preserve their wealth. Indra graduated summa cum laude from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana where she earned a B.S. in finance and organization administration.
Community Service: Indra has been involved in Spencer Loomis Elementary School serving on the PTO as co-treasurer. She is passionate about empowering youth and women in her community by educating them on financial education.
Personal: Indra and her husband, Scot have 2 children who attend schools in the district. Throughout her years she has been active within her Lithuanian community and has participated in holiday folk dancing for more than 15 years.
