The School District 95 Educational Foundation is pleased to sponsor a youth poster contest open to ALL students who live in District 95.  The goal of the poster contest is to encourage students to celebrate the diversity in District 95 and reflect on how that makes our community stronger.

 

Who Can Enter Contest:

• Any student, K-12, who lives in the boundaries of School District 95.  Students can attend a public school, a private school, or be homeschooled. 

 

Age Groups:

• There are three age groups:  Elementary School (K-5), Middle School (6-8) and High School (9-12)

 

Guidelines for Posters:

• Only one entry per person

• Poster size must be 8.5” X 11,” and be the original work of the artist

• The poster should showcase and celebrate the theme “Strength in Our Diversity” 

• Any medium may be used (crayon, paint, pencil, digital drawing program, etc.)

• Please make all posters “G” Rated: school appropriate language and clothing, no depiction of drugs, alcohol, tobacco or guns

 

Prizes:

• A $100 cash prize will be awarded to one winner in each age group

• Winning posters will be printed 11”X 17” and displayed in D95 buildings and local businesses

• Posters will also be posted on social media @D95Foundation and on the Foundation’s website: www.district95foundation.org, and may be used for general marketing purposes online and in print for the Foundation, CUSD95, and the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce

• Winners will be asked to provide their original artwork for printing purposes

 

Submissions:

• All submissions must be received by the end of the day on Friday, October 2.  

• Posters should be converted to a digital JPEG, PNG, or PDF file and submitted online, HERE.

  • If you cannot convert your poster into a digital file, or have issues submitting, please email Erica at foundation@lz95.org to discuss further.

• Winners will be announced on Monday, October 19.
