Denise Schirmann
Chairman

Smith Barney

Ms. Schirmann is Second Vice President-Wealth Management at Smith Barney in Barrington. She is actively involved in the local community serving as the Treasurer of the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the LZHS Career Advisory Council Scholarship Committee, member of WIN Women in Networking and past community representative for the District 95 Budget Committee.

Ms. Schirmann is a graduate of the University of Michigan. She also holds an MBA from Arizona State University.

She has three children. Her oldest son attends the Illinois Math and Science Academy (IMSA) in Aurora, IL. Her daughter attends Lake Zurich High School and her youngest son attends Lake Zurich Middle School North.

Lori Smith
Vice Chair - Projects

Community Volunteer

Mrs. Smith brings a wealth of community experience to the School District 95 Education Foundation Board. She has served in numerous committee positions in the PTO’s of District 95 over the last nine years at May Whitney, Spencer Loomis, Middle School North and Lake Zurich High School. Mrs. Smith has also served in many capacities at her church, Kirk of the Lakes Presbyterian Church, and is now a Session Board Member, Elder and Youth Christian Education Committee Chair.

Mrs. Smith is a 2007 INSPRA Award of Merit for Distinguished Service winner, and has been awarded the Illinois State Board of Education “Those Who Excel” 2006 Award of Meritorious Service for the CUSD 95 PTO Presidents. Previously Mrs. Smith was recognized by CUSD 95 as a Parent Volunteer of the Month.

Educated at Bradley University in Mechanical Engineering, Mrs. Smith was employed by Kemper. Currently she is kept busy by two very active sons in the Lake Zurich Schools.

Nancy Coleman
Co Chair - Fund Development



Nancy Coleman and her family moved to Lake Zurich from Columbus, Georgia in March.  While in Columbus, Nancy served for three years as Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer for Columbus Technical College.  Prior to joining the College, Nancy served for seven years as Human Resources Manager for Pratt & Whitney’s Columbus Engine Center.  She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Finance and Education from Auburn University.

Nancy is currently serving as a consultant for Columbus Technical College, the Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce, and the State of Georgia Governor’s Office for Workforce Development assisting with grant applications and curriculum design for Georgia’s strategic industry sectors.

Nancy served for five years as a board member for the Muscogee Educational Excellence Foundation.  She also chaired the Chamber’s Partners in Education Board linking industry involvement and support to over 80 elementary, middle and high schools.

Nancy is actively involved with the Spencer Loomis PTO.  She and her husband, Brian, and their two sons, Alec (7) and Taylor (14), reside in Hawthorn Woods.

Carol Coleman
Vice Chair - Fund Development

Lake Zurich Chamber of Commerce

Mrs. Coleman is the Office Manager for the Lake Zurich Chamber of Commerce, recently served as the Chair of the Chamber’s inaugural Taste of the Town, is a former Lake Zurich Village Trustee, and a former St. Frances de Sales School Board member—all examples of the fact that her life has centered around family and community in the Lake Zurich area for many years.

Mrs. Coleman graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a BA degree in Organizational Psychology. Married to Kevin for 25 years, the Coleman's have three sons, two of whom graduated from Lake Zurich High School, and one who is currently attending the High School.

Also active in her church, St. Frances de Sales, Mrs. Coleman has chaired the Auction and several sub-committees over the past 13 years. Additionally, she has served as a former Parish Pastoral President, former Confirmation Leader, and is presently a Eucharistic Minister.

Whether serving as the Volunteer Coordinator for a Congressional campaign in the 8th district, on the Ela Theatre Community Board (Director of Community Relations), or as a Member at Large on the Friends of Ela Library Board, Mrs. Coleman proves that commitment to community is a fundamental priority.

Lisa Warren
Treasurer

The Vesalius Trust for Visual Communications in Health Sciences

Mrs. Warren is an active volunteer in the community serving leadership roles in her church, St. Francis de Sales, her local swim and tennis club, Isacc Fox PTO, Middle School South PTO and other community organizations.

Mrs. Warren received her BS in Business Administration from The University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and her MBA from The Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. After working with Arthur Andersen & Co. and Heller Financial, Inc., Lisa is currently the executive director for The Vesalius Trust for Visual Communications in Health Sciences.

The Warren household looks forward to many years in the School District 95 family, with one child in middle school and two in elementary.
